Sanjaya uvacha: evam uktva arjunah sankhye
Sanjaya said: Having spoken thus, Arjuna cast aside his bow and arrows and sat down on the chariot, overwhelmed with sorrow.

Deep Wisdom: This is the climax of Arjuna’s breakdown. The greatest warrior becomes incapable of action — setting the stage for Krishna’s teachings in Chapter 2.
